Long dress with a short train. Strapless neckline. No cut at waistline. The bodice is fitted over a corset. The lower part of skirt has two frills that start at the front and extend to form the train. Lined with silk taffeta in the same colour. Fastens with a zip on the left side.

Inspired by flamenco dresses, Balenciaga created a fascinating evening gown, remarkable not only for its style – which flatters the female figure – but also for the intense fuchsia colour, one of the couturier’s favourites.
