The design is a postmodern scan of Cristóbal Balenciaga’s ‘four corners dress’ and his juxtaposition of large volumes alongside clean lines and carefully considered silhouettes. “My final look drew aesthetic influences from my own cultural narrative, representing the women I grew up watching as well as the women in my own life to whom I found myself returning to during a sustained period of reflection and deceleration in lockdown”.
