Junsei Oh
The garment is made up of a tight-fitting underwear in a striking fuchsia colour and a voluminous coat made of crinoline. The body of the undergarment refers to the construction of the 1968 orange wool crepe day dress –Ref. CBM 2000.38– from the museum's collection which consists of two intersecting cloths forming a curious baggy effect on the sides of the body.
Spacesuit
The coat, for its part, transparent, without internal structures, and with large ruffles, is adorned with prints of photographs taken during the visit to the museum –text images, historical documentation, the brand's logo, etc.–.
"I was interested in the way in which Cristóbal Balenciaga used "air " as a resource to create space between garment and body". An air present in this proposal and that is interpreted almost like a spacesuit.
