Padding is at the centre of this project that plays with volumes and drama. The outfit is constructed from the lining attached to the body to which two padded cushion-like structures are added to the front and back, creating distance between the body and the garment. The collar and neckline emphasise the female body and the distance between it and the final silhouette.
Drag queen world
“When I was first exposed to Balenciaga’s work, my first sensation was drama, a pleasant drama that makes you hold your breath from excitement”. The work presents a meeting point between the drag queen world and haute couture. "My project is mainly about which gives drag queen the femenine shape they want to get, which usually concentrate in three areas of the body: hips, chest, and buttocks"
