Orfeoi Gaztea:
Born in 1988, the Orfeoi Gaztea choir, made up of hundreds of boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 14, constitutes the main source of young singers for the Orfeón Donostiarra. The choir members receive music education and have fun, two days a week, as they work to become the singers of the future. Since 1998, the year the choir took to the big stage, it has given concerts in the Kursaal Auditorium, the Anoeta Velodrome, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Carlos III University, having performed together with the French children’s choir “Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint- Marc”, original performers of the soundtrack for the film "Les Choristes” (The Chorus), the WDR-Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir with the concert version of Othello at the Musical Fortnight, or the Spanish National Orchestra and its choir in "Las Golondrinas”, an opera by José María Usandizaga, to name but a few.
